August is flying by. We are headed in the direction of 11 tunes for Volume 2, and then distribution to the music streaming platforms we are currently using with DistroKids for Volume 1 :^)
Volume 2 is shaping up with more than 1 genre style. Our intention for our Volume releases is to include original songs from different artists and with a variety of players, all on our Tane Tunes label and created using the TLS 'machine'. Licensing can be done by each individual artist with their own licensing organization or thru Tane Tunes BMI registration. After our vacations, and after getting a new computer set up... what a P.I.T.A. that was... it's now time to gear back up and get sessions started for Volume 2. There are several local amazing musicians who are involved in the overdubbing. As I often say - it's kinda like herding cats - but in the end it's all worth it. Making music is so much fun and soul satisfying. Then we get to share and promote our collective creations with the rest of the world! TLS legacy is the real-deal.
FYI - I am STILL working on a video slideshow that will showcase a PJQ medley of 7 songs, a couple of highlights, and some casual pics from the June 20th Volume 1 Release Party!
I'm also tossing around the idea of having an "Open Studio" night. Similar to an open house where people that are interested in TLS have the opportunity to visit and see what it's all about.
And we are tossing around the idea of spending money on promoting one of Freddie's originals with a curator to get on some playlists. I may just send out a survey to see which song people think should be that candidate.
Whew! Seems like I'm saying that alot lately!
